WHOA: WWE SUMMER PPV-NAME OVERHAUL

I always knew that the Themed PPVs situation was an epidemic... but good lord the infection is spreading quickly!

Breaking news courtesy of NoDQ.com's Twitter.

April 25th - Extreme Rules (So long Backlash)
May 23rd - Wild Card
June 20th - Fatal Fourway
July 18th - MONEY IN THE BANK

Welp, the rebranding continues. I think we can all guess what some of these names mean - and one change could mean no MITB at 'Mania this year.

With Survivor Series still to be replaced, we're going to have an almost brand new calendar year for WWE Events. Cah-razy.

  1. plus I read bragging rights could have a war games match every year. It sucks and while I absolutely hate the concept overall IF I had to just go with the flow (which I will) a fucking War games would be sweet (unless they create a new war games structure that is far more sanitized and silly) Also the MITB could be cool if it plays out like I've heard. Single matches in the night to lead to the final MITB match like Survival of the Fittest. Those two intrigue me. Something called "Fatal Fourway" or "...On a Poll" doesn't.

And as a principal I think having almost every PPV a theme sucks a bag of dicks.. but its just the WWE.. thats why there are other companies to watch I guess. right? ..sigh...tear...childhood destroyed..

  2. Imagine THREE War Games matches. Jesus lord.

I could deal with the MITB idea for sure, it's the most traditional sounding thing. Essentially like a new version of King of the Ring.

Unless if it's three MITBs. And half the roster would run around with briefcases. Or maybe they'd put the contracts in different things. One is a briefcase, maybe one is a duffel bag, and another is a hipster purse of some kind.

    I LIKE IT

  3. haha, I always forget about the dreaded 3. I imagine War Games would be one 5 vs 5 Smackdown vs. Raw match (you fucking idiot).
