- IN KAYFABE: Retained the most prestigious tag team belts in all of wrestling, the ROH World Tag Team Titles, at ROH's 9th Anniversary show; let the people know that they've gone everywhere and beaten everybody, except for Puerto Rico; an angry Puerto Rican named Homicide took offence.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: Of the two tag team matches on the show, I enjoyed the Kings of Wrestling vs. The All Night Express the most. Haas/Benjamin vs. The Briscoes was great, but the crowd was hanging on every moment (and every word - "HEY!!!"), and ANX brought it like they've never brought it before.

3. Cody Rhodes

- IN KAYFABE: Attacked and unmasked Rey Mysterio with the help of his dad (it's nice when fathers and sons do things together); ...everyone was staring at him.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: He is easily my favourite part of SmackDown. I loved everything he did. I already gushed about this in my SmackDown review, so I won't go on and on about it. But I will brush my hair like this everyday from now on.

4. Triple H

- IN KAYFABE: Said if he can't kill the Undertaker, he'll die trying; apparently wants the nickname "The Last Outlaw" too, because THE DESTROYER never really stuck (only with me); kicked an Irishman in the balls; cried.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: I was maybe the one person on the internet who liked Triple H's promo on Monday. It didn't really connect with live crowd, he "buried" the entire roster, and then proceeded to dispose of Sheamus a DX glowstick. But there was some weird emotional thing going on too. I like it when Triple H cries, or at least when he makes those strange guttural noises when he's mad at Randy Orton.

6. Eddie Edwards

- IN KAYFABE: These two had an awesome 2/3 Falls match for the TV Title at ROH's 9th Anniversary Show.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: The match included a top rope hurricanrana from Edwards to Daniels that somehow busted the top of Daniels' head open. Don't know if it was a blade. Don't know how it happened. Don't know if it's a work or a shoot. I love Ring of Honor.

7. Roderick Strong

- IN KAYFABE: Retained his ROH World Championship in an impromptu Barrios Street Fight against Homicide.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: Remains the guy that you forget is awesome, even though he's the World Champion. He's also a guy that gets picked on way too much by internet fans. I'm always in awe of his actual athletic ability, and how he seemingly never gets tired.

8. Jack Swagger

- IN KAYFABE: Was named Michael Cole's trainer for the Cole/Lawler WrestleMania match; put Jerry Lawler in the ankle lock; made short work of an already injured Kofi Kingston on SmackDown.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: I know this happened this week on SmackDown. But. This.

- IN KAYFABE: Fell short in their quest for the ROH World Tag Team Titles.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: Kenny King landed a never-before-attempted Shooting Star Press in a true OMFG moment. Even though they rapped their promo in the VideoWire, they've been stepping it up quite a bit lately in the ring. Between their match with Cole and O'Reilly at Final Battle and now this match with the Kings of Wrestling, the All Night Express of elevated themselves big time in my eyes.

Well it looks like my efforts to get ROH into the Power Poll didn't pan out so well. Maybe this week we can at least get Colt Cabana in there for winning the NWA World Heavyweight Title. Yes, this is me campaigning for votes.

PIZZABODYSLAM POWER POLL VOTES: 02/02/11

1. Alberto Del Rio

- IN KAYFABE: Won the Royal Rumble (it was his destiny); lost to Rey Mysterio and Kofi Kingston on SmackDown when Kane abandoned him (this wasn't about destiny I don't think); decided he would face Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania (back to destiny again); exploded an acoustic guitar over Edge's shoulder and then armbarred his arm out of his arm (this is just something that wrestlers do sometimes).

- OUT OF KAYFABE: Between his Royal Rumble celebration ("ALBERTO DEL RIOO!! ALBERTO DEL RIOOO!! ALBERTO DELLL RIOOOOO!!!!"), his Royal Rumble "exhibition" on SmackDown that lead to a fantastic tag team match, and his opening segment on RAW with the mariachi band and the attack on Edge, he was on in every way imaginable this week.

2. John Morrison

- IN KAYFABE: Was eliminated in two types of "Rumbles."

- OUT OF KAYFABE: Still managed to write the book "How Not to Get Eliminated From a Battle Royal: The John Morrison Story" - His barrier-clutching Royal Rumble elimination save was incredible. All of the handstand/ankle-dangling/etc. he pulled in the Royal Rumble turned him into some kind of Battle Royal freak of nature. The next time he's in a Battle Royal, I want to see guys grabbing him by the ankles and trying to force his feet to the ground, just to make sure he doesn't pull off some kind of Nightcrawler BAMF trickery.

3. Dolph Ziggler

- IN KAYFABE: Was RKO'd on SmackDown; also lost to Randy Orton and Edge (teaming with Miz); lost to Edge at the Royal Rumble; entered the Royal Rumble somehow (as the historic first-ever #31 entrant) and was eliminated by the Big Show (not quite as historic).

- OUT OF KAYFABE: Had the match of the night at the Royal Rumble. Also, I never thought that something I'd enjoy watching is a guy falling down on purpose in a non-funny way, but no one does it better than Dolph.

4. CM Punk

- IN KAYFABE: Didn't win the Royal Rumble, but he did eliminate the most people (along with Cena) AND logged the most time in the match. I thought that this would be one of the first times that this had happened, but it's not. Triple H, Rey Mysterio, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Steve Austin (three times), Kane, and Shawn Michaels have all done the same, with Mysterio, Benoit, Austin and Benoit being the only ones to also win the Rumble in the same night as well. Fun facts. Punk also cost Randy Orton a win against The Miz, and promised serious consequences for Orton after Husky Harris got punted off TV I mean in the head.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: There have been some classic #1 and #2 Rumble spots before. Eddie and Benoit. Ax and Smash. HBK and Taker. HBK and Bulldog. HBK and Jericho. Okay a lot of them have included Shawn Michaels. Scott Steiner and Samu. You get the point. Ten years from now I can only assume that we'll add CM Punk and Daniel Bryan to that list. Punk was, once again, one of the highlights of the Royal Rumble match this year. His directing of the New Nexus and expressions when guys like Booker T and Khali and Cena came out were priceless. He could be as big of a crossover star that they've had if they continue to believe in him.

5. John Cena

- IN KAYFABE: Tied Punk for most eliminations in the Royal Rumble; was eliminated by The Miz in the Royal Rumble; told Michael Cole his boy is "done" (does that mean murder?!?); was eliminated by Jerry Lawler; didn't tell anyone that Jerry Lawler is a boy or done; cost Miz his match with by shouting from a great distance.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: Received a blistering hot reaction for eliminating all of the New Nexus and having an epic staredown with Punk before ultimately eliminating him too; received a not so hot reaction for his epic staredown with Randy Orton. In fact it was like we were deep in space where sound doesn't exist.

6. The Miz

- IN KAYFABE: Def. Randy Orton at the Royal Rumble to retain his WWE Title; eliminated John Cena from the Royal Rumble, despite not being in it himself; lost to Orton and Edge on SmackDown (along with Ziggler); lost to Edge on RAW when the voice of John Cena interfered.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: His match with Orton wasn't nearly as good as the Edge/Ziggler contest that preceded it; his elimination of Cena was cool; he did other things too, I kinda forget. Ah well.

7. Daniel Bryan

- IN KAYFABE: Was the second entrant in the Rumble, following Punk who eventually eliminated him; def. Tyson Kidd on RAW; taught Derrick Bateman how to go a guillotine choke, convinced Gail Kim to also teach Bateman the choke, then exclaimed, "when you do submissions... it's so HOT!" and then proceeded to make out with her in a moment that I swear I didn't make up.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: I love him like a brother.

8. Edge

- IN KAYFABE: Beat Dolph Ziggler without using the SPEAR to retain his World Heavyweight Title; teamed with Randy Orton beat Miz and Ziggler on SmackDown; beat Miz on RAW; had his arm smashed into obliteratitry when Alberto Del Rio smashed a guitar over it and slapped on the armbar.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: Put on one of his best matches in a long time against Ziggler at the Rumble - taking away the Spear might be the best thing to happen to him at this stage.

9. Santino Marella

- IN KAYFABE: Was the LAST MAN ELIMINATED FROM THE ROYAL RUMBLE MATCH; with Vladimir Kozlov, def. Harris & McGuillicutty on RAW.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: The finish of the Rumble was fucking hilarious and absurd and also somehow crazy over with the live crowd. I like that Santino can be a good guy and a punchline and the last man to be eliminated in the Royal Rumble all at the same time.

10. Diesel

- IN KAYFABE: Returned at the Royal Rumble; was eliminated by Wade Barrett, who wouldn't just take a step back and let the man snake eyes some people!

- OUT OF KAYFABE: Got probably the first-ever "LET'S GO DIESEL" chant in wrestling history.

1. CM Punk

- IN KAYFABE: def. John Cena via evil-genius-DQ, acquired a new member of Nexus in Mason Ryan (popular nicknames include "Fauxtista" and "Batistwo.")

- OUT OF KAYFABE: Had a great match with Cena to close RAW; remained a charisma overlord with his post-match knighting of Mason Ryan. His "kick me" pose was amazing, and will likely be used in every Punk/Cena video package from here 'til 'Mania.

2. Dolph Ziggler

- IN KAYFABE: Beat up Edge on SmackDown; lost to Randy Orton on RAW; watched his rookie Byron Saxton lose on NXT.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: He's a future World Champion. Maybe not at the Rumble (almost definitely not), but some time soon. This year? Maybe. History shows that since 1998, at least one guy per year wins their first-ever (WWE) World Championship - could Ziggler be the one to do it in 2011? A lot of guys could fill that role - Del Rio, Christian, Daniel Bryan (a boy can dream). But Ziggler is killing it right now, maybe the best he's ever been. And he's hilarious on NXT. Along with literally everyone else.

3. Daniel Bryan

- IN KAYFABE: def. By John Morrison on RAW; with his rookie Derrick Bateman, def. Ted DiBiase and Brodus Clay on NXT; developed telepathy in the NXT Rookie Challenge (Steve Blackman!); is, uh... a virgin. Or at least according to the Bellas. Maybe that's just the conclusion they came to when Bryan resisted their whorish charm. "He doesn't want to bang two sisters at once? WELP MUST BE A VIRGIN"

- OUT OF KAYFABE: He's still one of the few people I legit look forward to seeing on RAW. I mean, sure, I like Randy Orton and stuff, but I don't perk up when his music hits. And like Dolph Ziggler (and, I mean it... everyone else) he is hilarious on NXT. I think I look forward more to NXT than RAW or SmackDown every week. Maybe it's because, at one hour long, it's way easier to digest. Or maybe it's because the comedy is natural and off the cuff and actually funny and it pokes fun at itself and isn't just a billion John Cena Triple H gay and poop jokes. Or maybe it's because it's not 45% video packages. Whatever it is, it's working.

4. John Morrison

- IN KAYFABE: def. Daniel Bryan on RAW; had to listen to a man in a cape yell at him from fifty feet away.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: Continued his string of good matches - and he didn't have to jump off a school bus or something!

5. The Miz

- IN KAYFABE: Beat up Randy Orton.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: Had to endure John Cena's best attempt at PG humour (that's resilience right there).

6. Alberto Del Rio

- IN KAYFABE: Teamed with Cody Rhodes in a losing effort against R-Truth and Rey Mysterio on SmackDown; gave us a fucking hilarious comedy match in Conor O'Brian vs. Ricardo Rodriguez; watched his rookie (O'Brian) get eliminated from NXT.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: His backstage segment with Rodriguez and O'Brian was amazing ("are you trying to embarrass me?!"). And he's closing in on being the best promo on any show... but you already knew that.

7. Wade Barrett

- IN KAYFABE: Lost to the Big Show on SmackDown by DQ; let Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater tag along; welcomed Ezekiel Jackson into his new stable, because hey, even Ahmed Johnson joined the Nation that one time; got new crappy music.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: Had a decent match with Big Show until Ezekiel Jackson appeared on the apron just staring for no reason. I feel like that could've been done way better. Totally underwhelming for me.

8. Kofi Kingston

- IN KAYFABE: Retained his Intercontinental Championship against Jack Swagger.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: The match was good! I think. I kinda forget. I feel bad saying this, but Brandon Stroud might be right again.

9. Jack Swagger

- IN KAYFABE: Lost to Kofi Kingston on SmackDown.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: Somehow when from actual World Champion to Intercontinental contender. And now not even #1 Contender, like at least #2 after losing so many times. Why is he filling this workhorse loser role?! GET THE EAGLE BACK JACK

10. Derrick Bateman

- IN KAYFABE: Teamed with Daniel Bryan to beat Ted DiBiase and Brodus Clay on NXT; won the NXT Rookie Challenge via telepathy.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: I find him funny. Naturally, he gets a decent amount of boos, because hey, if your humour doesn't involve tripping over Hornswoggle or making a Justin Bieber reference, you're not funny to the WWE Universe.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: In exchange for the most priceless reaction ever captured on WWE TV (and maybe the most meme'd WWE image in recent memory), The Miz made that girl's effing year; couldn't even begin to contain his excitement of being WWE Champion when he appeared on Jimmy Fallon; is making the best out of a very forced and unnecessary table stipulation.

2. John Cena

- IN KAYFABE: Was rehired! (I was hoping for weeks of skits where John Cena tried to get hired by different departments in the WWE); def. David Otunga on RAW; beat David Otunga with a steel chair for a Bret Hart amount of time; won two Slammys: the "Holy $%^$ (insert your own vulgarity) Move of the Year" Award, and Superstar of the Year.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: Did a good job of promoting his _______ match with Wade Barrett by using a _______ on David Otunga, while Wade Barrett posed with a ________; (this formula can and will be applied to any themed PPV in the future).

3. Randy Orton

- IN KAYFABE: Def. Alex Riley and former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Big Van Vader David Arquette in a handicap match on RAW; put David Arquette through a table via deadlift powerbomb.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: Was ROBBED (and he knows it) of the Holy Rusted Metal Batman Move of the Year Slammy for his Shooting Star Press interrupting RKO; Did a good job of promoting his _______ match with The Miz by using a _______ on David Arquette, while The Miz posed with a ________; (okay this one didn't work as well, but you catch my drift).

4. Edge

- IN KAYFABE: Teamed with Rey Mysterio to defeat Alberto Del Rio in a handicap match on Smackdown!; def. Jack Swagger on RAW; presented and won the Slammy for the "Oh Snap! Meltdown of the Year"; was an accomplice in the murder of Paul Bearer.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: Was hilarious with Christian on RAW (plus, EDGE AND CHRISTIAN!!); was hilarious with Paul Bearer and Kane on Smackdown and by hilarious I mean the exact opposite like Matt Striker would say.

5. Dolph Ziggler

- IN KAYFABE: Had a fantastic Intercontinental Title defence against Kofi Kingston on Smackdown!; teamed with Ted DiBiase in a losing effort against Daniel Bryan and Kofi Kingston on RAW.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: Did anyone else notice the presence of mind of Dolph Ziggler in that tag match? Ted DiBiase rolled out of the ring, clearly injured (or maybe he just needed a quick peek up Maryse's skirt, I don't know) while Daniel Bryan was making the hot tag to Kofi. With DiBiase the legal man and nowhere to be found, Ziggler hit the ring and took all of Kofi's house of fire spots, including the pinfall, which he clearly was NOT supposed to take, given that Ted DiBiase did everything he could to try and break it up. Kudos to that referee for just counting the fall with Ziggler as the illegal man, in lieu of a much more awkward finish. Not only that but Ziggler continues to be one of the most reliable guys in terms of putting on a good match. He bumps like Shawn Michaels if all of Shawn Michaels' body was on fire. If that makes sense. Okay that's enough. I've used enough insider terms for this post. Maybe for the week. MOVING ON

6. Jack Swagger

- IN KAYFABE: Def. Kaval on Smackdown!; def. by Edge on RAW; cost Kofi Kingston the Intercontinental Championship.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: I wish he was still with the Eagle.

7. "Dashing" Cody Rhodes

- IN KAYFABE: Def. Mark Henry on RAW; could not break the Masterlock in the Masterlock Challenge.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: He is a ticking time bomb of awesome. I mean he's already awesome, what with his Ric Flair selling of his face being touched, his mirrored jacket that he DEMANDS Tony Chimel to hold while he checks for bumps and scratches, and of course his attempt at filing down Chris Masters' nails. But what I mean is this - how long before we get a Goldust/Cody feud? That would easily tear the house down in every aspect, be it promos, matches, everything. And we're also just moments away from any feud that will be built around fucking up Cody's face - give this guy a black eye and he'll sell it like a maniac. I really feel like next year will be his year.

8. Kofi Kingston

- IN KAYFABE: Def. Dolph Ziggler by DQ on Smackdown - unable to capture the IC strap, thanks to Jack Swagger; teamed with Daniel Bryan to defeat Ted DiBiase and Dolph Ziggler on RAW; interrupted CM Punk's MOMENT.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: Had an awesome match with Ziggler; tore it up with the American Dragon against DiBiase and Ziggler; didn't do much else really... uh, yeah.

9. Alberto Del Rio

- IN KAYFABE: Def. by Edge and Rey Mysterio when stupid Kane BETRAYED HIM. STUPID KANE; showed up on RAW to cost Rey Mysterio a win against The Miz... but you already knew that.

- OUT OF KAYFABE: Him showing up on RAW for two seconds to cost Rey Mysterio a match is better than half the shit that happens on RAW.

10. Daniel Bryan

- IN KAYFABE: Teamed with Kofi Kingston to defeat Dolph Ziggler and Ted DiBiase; won a Slammy for what he got fired for!

- OUT OF KAYFABE: Debuted a new shirt. Uh... that's... that's all. HE'S THE AMERICAN DRAGON PEOPLE. He deserves my vote. Although I was very close to giving it to CM Punk for his commentary and Slammy acceptance speech. I'm giddy with anticipation for whatever feud CM Punk is keeping a secret from us right now. Who's he talkin' about? I assumed at first Daniel Bryan, since they were going to feud before he got injured (or so goes the rumour), but Brandon Stroud is convinced that it's John Cena, with John Cena "wronging" CM Punk by spilling his diet soda. Sign me up for either of those and let's call it a year.
